Gion Kenji, first-year student at Jinko High, is short and perpetually pissed off about it. Following a fight with an upperclassman who called him "chibi," he becomes acquainted with Iwashimizu Sumiaki: a tall, well-built boy with a timid personality. Iwashimizu is being pursued by the rugby club for his build and experience playing in middle school, which is how Gion finds the perfect sport to not just accommodate his stature, but to make the best possible use of it.
