Keitaro has had great difficulty getting into the university of his choice and no luck in meeting women. In a desperate effort to go into seclusion and study for next year's entrance exams, he volunteers to work as a caretaker at his grandma's hotel in exchange for living and eating at the hotel for free. His plans are ruined when he discovers that the "hotel" has been transformed into an all-girls dormitory, and he faces great opposition from the residents -- particularly hot-headed top student Naru Narusegawa.
